The Whole Truth
Eco-Commitment
Organic Leadership

We are committed to using organic ingredients, living an organic lifestyle and working toward an organic, sustainable world. It is a commitment that is deep and ever growing. And it’s more than a just a company philosophy. It has long been the heart and soul of our people, especially New Chapter President and Co-CEO Tom Newmark, the man who leads our organic mission.

Why Organic?

  1. We believe the natural purity of organic ingredients is better for people.
  2. We believe organically grown ingredients are better for the environment.
  3. We believe organic, biodynamic farming helps to protect our world for future generations.

Organic Leadership
New Chapter was the first company in the world to produce a full line of whole-food complex vitamins and supplements certified to be made with organic ingredients.

Organic Ingredients
We will use organic ingredients as often as possible. Many New Chapter products are certified organic, and most of our products contain organic ingredients -- grown without genetic engineering, added chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.

Organic Production
We proudly grow our own organic turmeric and ginger at Luna Nueva, our very own biodynamic, Demeter-certified 200-acre farm in the rainforests of Costa Rica. Check out our Luna Nueva video tour or view our Luna Nueva photo gallery for more information on this incredible example of our organic commitment in action.

Organic Sourcing
When we source organic ingredients, we search for farms and growers who meet our rigid organic standards.

Organic Support
We support organizations like The Organic Center to fund research on the benefits of organic. And we work with groups like The Conscious Goods Alliance, Whole Planet Foundation and International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements to promote the shift to Organic sustainability at home and around the globe.

Organic Office
At our Brattleboro headquarters, you’ll find we do the little things that add up. We use organic, local food whenever possible for company luncheons and events, and during summers a Stonewall Farms organic produce vendor visits weekly to offer organic produce to our employees. We even have an office-wide compost program.

Organic Certifications
We receive organic certification from a number of highly regarded certification organizations, including the USDA, Demeter, Oregon Tilth and International Certification Services.

Organic Partnerships
Here are some of the organizations we partner with in order to promote the shift to organic, sustainable agriculture and nourishment:

The Organic Center

The Organic Trade Association

The Organic Center For Education & Promotion

The Genetic Engineering Action Group
