New Chapter has long been committed to avoiding genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and we were one of the first companies to enroll our products in the Non-GMO Project Verification program. The Non-GMO Project Verified logo on a product confirms the ingredients are independently reviewed for GMO avoidance going all the way back to the seeds.

WFCFO verifies that each step of manufacturing meets organic standards, including no added chemical pesticides, herbicide residues, or genetic engineering. The WFCFO logo indicates a product is 70% organic or more and certified to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP) standards.

The USDA Organic logo indicates a product is certified to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP) standards. The USDA organic logo indicates a product is 95% organic or more. New Chapter USDA Organic products are certified by Where Food Comes from Organic.

This seal indicates the product meets strict gluten-free specifications as tested by NSF International. This independent certification indicates the product meets FDA (Food & Drug Administration) gluten-free labeling rules.

New Chapter’s carbon neutral products are certified by Carbonfund.org. Products go through a rigorous life-cycle assessment to calculate carbon emissions from field to shelf. For every unit of carbon that has been emitted, an equal amount is reduced through carbon offset programs to result in an overall neutral impact on the environment.

New Chapter’s ocean-friendly fish oil is made only with 100% Wild Alaskan Salmon oil that is sustainably caught. The Certified Sustainable Alaska RFM seal confirms our fish oil comes from a sustainable Alaska Salmon fishery that has been independently certified as responsibly managed. This logo includes our Chain of Custody certification number.

The Certified Vegan logo shows the product has been independently certified by Vegan Action to be free from animal products or animal by-products. It also shows the product has not been tested on animals.

Products certified OU Kosher meet the standards of Kosher certification as supervised by the Orthodox Union.

The NSF Contents Certified logo shows the product is third-party inspected and tested by NSF International to meet or exceed a rigorous set of quality assurance standards, including mercury and other heavy metal testing.

The IGEN (International Genetically Modified Organism Evaluation & Notification Program) Non-GMO Tested logo certifies that the finished product does not contain GMO markers. IGEN is a program of Nutrasource.
